Delicious food, great service, wonderful owners! The blackened salmon and shrimp are fa! They know the right way to make a Monte Cristo! Love this place, and can't get enough!
I can't say enough good things about the Clarksburg Tavern! This neighborhood gem is family owned and it shows as the customer service and food is top notch and delivered with care. We especially enjoy our very attentive and excellent waiter, Allen who is the son of the restaurant owner, Jan. Allen really knows his stuff and makes all the customers feel like they are special guests in the restaurant. He takes a genuine interest in his customers and makes great menu recommendations. He is also a real gem! I really like that this place is family owned and that the entire family works together to provide great customer service and tasty food. Jan does a nice job of keeping the menu updated with delicious entrees, salads and desserts...don't miss the key lime cheesecake when it is available. Try the decadent onion rings for a real appetizer treat. Our favorite entree is the salmon and shrimp dish and the roasted veggies are super delish. I'm so glad that this establishment is no longer the chain, Bennegan's and is now a local eatery that is now our neighborhood go-to several times a month!
If you're looking for a casual environment, with quality American pub style food, served in large portions, by a friendly staff, Clarksburg Tavern is just the place. Their menu is mostly appetizers and sandwiches, with a few dinner entrées to round things out. They're known for their Monte Christo sandwich, Fish n Chips, and an excellent burger. They have a vibrant bar scene, with lots of televisions, a pool table, shuffleboard, and a jukebox. Some Friday's they have live music, call ahead to inquire. Ask about their daily specials.
Stopped by for lunch. Food was outstanding, service was impeccable and the atmosphere was fun! Definitely one of my new go to spots!!
Nice lunch stop on a motorcycle venture. One super stand out, the Fish Sandwich was one of a kind, the best I have ever had! Seasoned fries was a nice side touch. The Bloody Mary's some of the guys has they said was really good. Service was very good, nice clean looking place. Highly recommend.
One of my favorite reasons to visit my family is to get a burger from this place. It's cooked perfectly every time! I also really, really love the homemade ranch! There's nothing quite like it and it's good on salad, fries and with a spoon! 😍
I heard Clarksburg Tavern has great fish and chips. As a native Midwesterner I know a good fish fry when I find one. CT delivers! Two very large pieces of Atlantic cod battered and fried crispy and golden on the outside and remained flakey and moist on the inside. Absolutely perfect! Their fries really stood out as well. Crisp exterior and very nice potato texture and flavor on the inside. Onion rings were pretty darn good as well. I will certainly return for fish and to try other items. Portions were so large I will get two, and maybe three meals out of everything.
Absolutely Delicious. I'm not usually a 5 star person. So so so good. First time here sat immediately, was a slow lunch, server was new but very nice wanna say her name was Jen. We had ordered the ribs, unfortunately there was something wrong with the meat or whatever so we had a to replace that meal. Manager came over later and had said something along the lines of she'd rather serve something that was actually good rather than something thrown together. Appreciate that. i got the crispy chicken sandwich and oh my goodness never change your fries please!!! Those are the best fries Ive had in my entire life. They melt in your mouth yet have a crispy bite. the drinks and food and service were all great. Definitely found a good spot.
We came to Clarksburg Tavern for the first time 2 weeks ago. Since then, we have been back a total of 3 times. This place is an absolute gem! The three times, we tried their burger, philly cheese steak, french dip, tacos, and fish and chips. Everything was super fresh and delicious. But I highly recommend the Phily Cheesesteak (with peppers and mushrooms). The Fries......OMG, crispy and well-seasoned on the outside, hot and moist on the inside, just absolutely amazing. My wife and I have been in Clarksburg for almost 3 years and we were both mad at ourselves for not trying this place sooner!
We had a doubt before go here cuz of 4.1 reviews. But it was a good experience here. Good food indeed. Clean and very helpful staff. Parking lot was big. We went around 1pm and it was empty. But around we were leaving it was getting some people. Food served within 5 mins.
